Sixteen semi-permanent buildings on Jalan Raya Bogor, Susukan Urban Village, Ciracas District, East Jakarta, were independently demolished by their owners. The buildings were located in the former Temporary Location (Loksem) of JT 56.
No longer had a permit
Head of Ciracas District, Panangaran Ritonga said the demolition was carried out after the party sent the first warning letter (SP1) and SP2 to the building owners.
Arrangement of Kramat Jati Vendors Emphasizes Orderliness and Economic Sustainability"This policy was taken because trading activities at that location no longer had a permit," he said.
Panangaran explained that there were originally 20 semi-permanent kiosks at the former Loksem JT 56, which were used to sell fruit. However, four of these kiosks have been demolished to make way for the construction of the Jakarta Guard Post.
"The post is guarded by joint officers from three pillars every day to anticipate brawls, muggings and other crimes in the area," he explained.
According to him, there were two main violations at the former Lokse. JT 56. First, vendors were still operating at a location whose permit had been revoked. Second, there were allegations of drug sales activities, including those on the hard drug or Class G list.
Meanwhile, Head of Susukan Urban Village, Puja Akbar Sahroni stated the SP2 was only issued today. However, the building owners immediately chose to carry out the demolition themselves.
"The SP2 deadline ends next Friday. Afterward, we will conduct mass community service at the location," he stated.
The urban village plans to develop the area into a green and beautiful park.
